Hauntlab  Incorporated  is a very new company with a surpisingly old history. Founded in 2006 by cousins Alex Lohmann and Brandon Barnett, Hauntlab was originally intended to be an outlet to sell surplus props or extra items that they were already making in the 13th Street Morgue haunted house that they own and operate. But as the plan developed, Alex and Brandon, ever ambitious, decided to include their other talents as well as merchandise from other companies that they use and have enjoyed using.  Since Hauntlab has come into existence as an entity, it offers a wide away of both services and products, all related to Halloween, haunted houses or horror fans. In short, if its scary, you can bet they'll be happy to be involved!

Gotta love a couple of crazy dudes in chef coats!

Alex and Brandon's very first production would have to be traced back to Halloween 1987 when they decorated Brandon's parents front yard to scare trick or treaters. Alex was 11 and Brandon was 14 and even though the production wasn't huge, it was a lot of fun and gave the guys their first real taste of haunting and fear. The best gags where an electric drill with no bit and Brandon laying still and decorated like a dummy only to scare trick-or-treaters moments later.

Fast forward to October 2003. Brandon came to help out Alex with a yard haunt that Alex had been involved with for several years. Alex had joined forces with a talented guy he met in the Dallas Trocars Hearse Club and they had put together a fairly respectable yard haunt. This was the year Brandon came to help out and worked the room called Jimmy's House of Bones. But 2003 was to be Alex's first partners last year and Alex asked Brandon if he was interested in putting on a haunted house for real somewhere. The rest is history, after a shaky first year south of Fort Worth the guys proudly moved their haunt to Reindeer Manor as the second attraction and its been here that their talents have really shone, due mostly to the fact that standards are set and not compromised. They guys have developed many props and techniques in the course of all this as well as assisting other haunted house owners and pride themselves very much on outdoing themselves.

Brandon has a history as an artist and former interior designer who has worked on many of the buildings you see in the Dallas Metro-plex and many, many other scattered throughout the country.

Alex started out as a musician, an audio engineer, and paint and body guy, as well as being the president and founder of the Dallas Trocars Hearse Club.

Together the cousins have developed a company that makes custom props and reps other product lines, such as Bloody Mary or Midnight Syndicate, and the guys are also available for consulting work for your haunted house or Halloween party.
